Every day, FactSet runs thousands of data quality control checks, as teams in North America, Europe, and Asia constantly monitor data integrity and provide corrections.

FactSet understands just how costly data inconsistencies and software errors can be. We strive to increase the accuracy of the information we provide. Our knowledgeable Quality Assurance staff, powerful data servers, and experience with various types of financial data make this possible.

The moment a data item arrives at FactSet, it is examined for anomalies by a suite of automated tests that help validate its integrity. Even after data items are received and integrated into the system, they are subject to numerous automated and manual data tests.

Software quality is also a priority at FactSet. Engineering teams continually strive to produce and refine high quality products to meet clients’ needs.

Software enhancements receive rigorous quality assurance tests prior to installation. Changes and updates are manually inspected and tested to guard against unforeseen problems. Teams regularly review and improve processes to better streamline the development of new software, improve the handling of emergency situations, and prevent such events from occurring.
