The FactSet IM platform is fully integrated within the FactSet workstation, letting you easily share news, charts, identifiers, and other financial data components while you send/receive messages, project/receive presence, and manage a list of contacts.

FactSet IM takes 1:1 messaging to the next level by allowing you to "blast," or simultaneously send, messages to multiple recipients, letting you efficiently communicate time-sensitive information to a number of contacts. Additional features includes message preview and read status.

Take advantage of tabbed conversations to efficiently manage concurrent conversations while minimizing usage of valuable screen real estate. In addition, FactSet IM stores conversation history to let you retain and re-start conversations at your convenience.

FactSet Instant Messenger goes beyond basic messaging functionality to let you communicate and share information with any contact, regardless of the messaging network they belong to. FactSet IM is built on XMPP standards and was specifically designed to let you connect and communicate between a broad range of consumer, enterprise, and professional instant messenger networks including AOL, GoogleTalk, Microsoft Lync, Cisco CUPS, and more.

FactSet is fully committed to assisting clients with compliance obligations. Through partnerships with various third-party providers, FactSet IM integrates with both IM Proxy compliance solutions and SaaS-based data archival and reporting solutions.

The FactSet IM platform is available for free to any FactSet workstation user or employee at a FactSet client site with a factset.net login address. With your factset.net credentials, you will be able to log in to FactSet IM, the FactSet workstation, and any FactSet web applications that you subscribe to.
