FactSet ranked 17 on Glassdoor.com's "50 Best Places to Work 2010"

Wednesday, December 16, 2009

For the second year in a row, FactSet was named to Glassdoor.com’s “50 Best Places to Work” list, this year coming in at #17.

Glassdoor.com is a website that allows people around the world to anonymously post salaries, ratings, and reviews of the companies for which they work. More than 37,000 companies are profiled on the site.

FactSet has an overall rating of 3.9 out of 5 on Glassdoor.com and CEO Phil Hadley has an approval rating of 80%. FactSet's highest rankings in the reviews were for Work/Life Balance (4.3) and Employee Morale (3.9). Benefits such as positive working environment, free working lunch, and comprehensive benefits package are among the reasons for the high reviews.

The "50 Best Places to Work List" was populated through a voluntary 20-question survey, where employees rated their overall satisfaction with their company and specific workplace factors, including: career opportunities, communication, compensation and benefits, employee morale, recognition and feedback, senior leadership, work/life balance, and fairness and respect. To be eligible, companies must have received at least 25 reviews between December 1, 2008 to December 1, 2009 from U.S.-based employees, maintain an above 3.0 cumulative average overall and across eight workplace factors addressed in the company’s voluntary 20-question survey, and the CEO must have an approval rating higher than 50%.
