FactSet announces release of quarterly Debt Capital Structure reports

Thursday, January 06, 2011

FactSet Research Systems Inc. (NYSE: FDS | NASDAQ: FDS), a leading provider of financial information and analytical applications to the global investment community, has released quarterly Debt Capital Structure information for corporate issuers as of December 2010.

Quarterly Debt Capital Structure information for corporate bond issuers is now available to FactSet clients.

Debt Capital Structure in FactSet is derived from a comprehensive review of company filings and credit agreements. With new quarterly availability, FactSet's users have access to the latest and most frequently updated credit information possible.

“With corporate balance sheet restructuring and refinancing activity at an all-time high, our clients require broader coverage as well as more frequent updates with respect to capital structure content,” says Peter Walsh, FactSet's Chief Operating Officer. “With that in mind, the release not only marks a significant milestone for company credit analysis products at FactSet, but also provides a timely solution to the challenge of managing debt holdings in a changing atmosphere.”

The content set provides more than 100 categories of debt types, which can be examined down to the individual securities, respective terms, and prices. The total debt will be representative of and reconcile to the balance sheet of the issuer.

More than 10,000 issuers are covered by the Debt Capital Structure database. More than 3,000 issuers have full quarterly coverage available back to 6/30/2010.
