FactSet named one of BusinessWeek’s “Best Places to Launch a Career”

Tuesday, September 09, 2008

FactSet Research Systems Inc. (NYSE: FDS), a leading provider of integrated financial information and analytical applications to the global investment community, has been named one of BusinessWeek magazine’s “Best Places to Launch a Career.” FactSet ranked #53 on the coveted ranking of 95 U.S. employers. The full list and related stories appear in the September 15 issue of BusinessWeek and on its website at www.businessweek.com.

The latest rankings mark FactSet’s first appearance on the list and the first year the company has participated. The list recognizes top employers for new college graduates based on surveys of three distinct groups: career services directors at U.S. colleges, employers that the directors identify as the best for new graduates, and tens of thousands of U.S. undergraduates.

“At FactSet, recent graduates have the opportunity to become involved immediately in the challenging and meaningful work that appeals to Generation Y and all potential employees,” said FactSet Chief Executive Officer Philip A. Hadley. “Our unique culture and ample opportunities are why FactSet has an outstanding employee retention rate.”

BusinessWeek’s recognition is the latest acknowledgement of FactSet’s outstanding career opportunities. In 2008, FactSet also made its first appearance on FORTUNE’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” list, debuting at #52.
