Analyst

Analysts at Market Metrics play a key role supporting the teams that develop and execute each of our studies, where they work closely with Associates, Principals and other Analysts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Survey design
  • Market research data analysis
  • Senior executive meetings and interviews
  • Client support
  • Participation in the full project life-cycle from survey design to delivery of results to clients
  • Exposure to multiple product lines and markets within financial services

Most Analysts come to Market Metrics directly after graduating from college, although candidates may also have a few years of work experience. The best candidates will have a strong academic background, including quantitative and analytical coursework.

The Analyst position is designed to be a two- or three-year role. After that time, a combination of excellent performance and increased experience on your project teams would make you eligible for promotion to Associate.  If promoted, you will start to play a larger role in project management at Market Metrics.

Associate

Associates at Market Metrics are the project managers of our studies, and thereby ensure that we continue to produce the highest-quality research in the industry.

Responsibilities include:

  • Project management
  • Day-to-day leadership of Analysts
  • Survey design, redesign and implementation
  • Development of skills in SPSS, presentation design/creation, analytical tasks and data collection
  • Expertise in the studies you manage, along with broad exposure to multiple product lines within financial services
  • Client support
  • Contribution to the professional development of Analysts

The best candidates come to Market Metrics with at least three years experience in market research or related fields.

Associates’ responsibilities grow and change significantly over time. We rely heavily on our Associate team to find ways to make our current studies more efficient and more adaptable to changing market conditions.

Associates take varied career paths. Many have chosen to stay at Market Metrics for five or more years, deepening their skills and broadening their expertise.  For others, after spending three to five years at Market Metrics, some Associates choose to move on to graduate schools or other professional opportunities. We help these Associates to articulate their career priorities and prepare for their transition.

Principal

A team of Principals makes up the senior management of Market Metrics.

Principals have three critical roles:

  1. Client Support
Principals are responsible for providing Market Metrics’ clients with an exceptionally high level of support, consistent with our value proposition. Principals present our research findings, meet with senior executives to discuss implications of our research, and respond to client inquiries. Principals are also responsible for deepening existing client relationships and developing new ones.
  2. Research Design and Implementation
Principals work very closely with Associates and Analysts to execute our current studies and to launch new studies.  Principals are ultimately responsible for the design, execution, and implementation of all research.
  3. Firm Management
Principals play an active role in the day-to-day management of the firm, including employee career development and operational support.

To support our strategic growth, Market Metrics is seeking Principal candidates with a background in strategy consulting and client relationship management, as well as a strong fit with our culture and values.
