Earnings season for the second quarter is in full swing. The Business section of WSJ Online recently released an earnings scorecard fully powered by FactSet Estimates. This new report lets you track the performance of 150 companies as they report and compare their results with analyst estimates.

You can also access a fully customizable version of the earnings scorecard on FactSet. Investigate the performance of sales and earnings for entire markets, sectors, industries, and companies. The estimates scorecard available on FactSet includes interactive options:

  • Define your view of the market using indices or custom portfolios and get an overall picture of how any sector, industry, or custom grouping is stacking up to expectations
  • Explore earnings growth for the market as a whole, or drill-down to see how different sectors, industries, and individual companies have performed
  • Audit data down to the constituent level for full transparency to see exactly what companies are affecting market performance most
  • Customize the report by selecting specific metrics to include, such as price impact, percent of companies missing/beating analyst expectations, and more
