A personal message from our President and COO, Michael DiChristina:
When I joined FactSet® as a Software Engineer in 1986, it was the people
that attracted me to the company. Intelligent, motivated, and creative — these
were the type of people I wanted to be surrounded by as I began my career.
Today, when a new colleague comes to my office excited about starting an innovative
project, I know it’s still about the people.
But why wouldn’t it be? FactSet was founded on the idea of a community
and we’ve made it a priority to seek out exceptionally talented, self-motivated
professionals. We look for new graduates who will bring fresh energy to
the team and enjoy the challenge of real responsibility as much as
they’ll enjoy the rewards. The performance of every member
of our community is important, encouraged, and recognized right from day one.
We’re proud to offer our clients superior products and client service.
We support a unique flow of information directly from our
clients and dedicated front-line consultants to our highly proactive technology
teams. With our fingers on the pulse of the financial markets, we are ready
to respond to client requests and listen to engineers' suggestions for creating
an expanding suite of online financial applications.
Technology is vital to the success of the company. We look for outgoing
individuals who will take an active role in building our shared success.
The technology we use to solve our clients' needs has radically changed
over the years, but the underlying spirit of creativity embodied in our products
is timeless.

Engineering at FactSet
The FactSet Engineering team is composed of highly talented and motivated
individuals. Engineers are primarily selected from top-tier technical programs
around the world, and
most are hired directly out of college. We believe this approach fosters
the continual introduction of new technologies and ideas, which has been
critical
to our success.
Our engineers believe that a key to their, and FactSet’s, success is
creating a loose team environment in which everyone can contribute individually,
yet at the same time cultivate a community where engineers can depend on each
other for help, learning, and development.
Our management approach is to trust and expect the best. We believe in hands-off
management and encourage developers to take initiative to complete projects,
manage multiple tasks, and set their own individual day-to-day priorities.
We also encourage creativity and innovation, since they benefit FactSet in
the long run. In our friendly yet professional atmosphere, FactSet offers an
excellent opportunity to grow and be a part of a successful team.
