This presentation will also identify the key risks relating to credit quality of selected emerging sovereigns and effects of different outcomes for U.S. growth in 2008 and 2009 on growth, trade, and policy options.

Speaker Biographies

Nariman Behravesh is Executive Vice President and Chief Economist at Global Insight. He is responsible for developing the economic outlook and risk analysis for the United States, Europe, Japan, China, and other emerging markets. He and his team of over 325 professionals were ranked by the Wall Street Journal in its annual ratings of top U.S. forecasters for 2006 as #3 (out of 56), and the only forecaster to place in the top six for 2003, 2004 and 2006. Behravesh and his team were also ranked #1 in USA Today's 2004 list of top economic forecasters. Behravesh is a graduate of MIT and holds M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in economics from the University of Pennsylvania, where he studied under Nobel prize-winning economist Lawrence Klein. He is fluent in several languages, including French and Italian.

Jonathan Golub is a Senior Managing Director and Chief Investment Strategist at Bear Stearns. He has 20 years of asset management experience, including six as a U.S. equity and broad market strategist. Mr. Golub joined Bear Stearns from JP Morgan Asset Management. In addition to his role as a strategist, Jonathan led the client portfolio management group and served on the product steering committee.   He was previously with Scudder Kemper Investments and Chancellor Capital Management where he worked with institutional clients. Jonathan holds a degree from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Yelena Dudochkin is Vice President and Director of Market Analysis at FactSet. She joined FactSet six years ago and oversees the Market Analysis team as well as the growth and development of this vertical. Ms. Dudochkin was previously with Morgan Stanley for five years in the Equity Research department where she covered emerging markets strategy, global strategy, as well as the technology sector. Her work has led to numerous awards. In 1999, she was recognized in Institutional Investor and Latin Finance Magazine polls as part of the number one strategy team in emerging markets. In 2002 she was again part of the top ranking Institutional Investor team, this time in the Technology sector. Ms. Dudochkin is a graduate of Columbia University and the Juilliard School with a degree in Economics and Political Science. She is a board member of the Columbia University Alumni of New England and Ivy Plus Presidents as well as member the National Association of Business Economists and QWAFAFEW.

Kevin Lindemer is the Executive Managing Director of the Energy Markets Group at Global Insight, which specializes in oil, refined products, natural gas, power and coal. With 22 years of industry experience, he is an expert on the global oil industry and specializes in downstream (refining and marketing) operations. The Energy Group, with offices in London and Boston, provides energy analysis and research on supply, demand and pricing for various markets. He holds a graduate degree in Agriculture and Applied Economics from the University of Wyoming.

Zbyszko Tabernacki is Executive Managing Director of the Country Intelligence Group, overseeing a team of economists and analysts responsible for daily coverage of 203 countries around the world. A native of Poland, he holds a graduate degree in economics from the Warsaw School of Economics and a post graduate degree in international finance and global markets from the Georgetown Business School. He is fluent in English and Polish.
