As of May 2007 FactSet began collecting the data items listed above for Venture Capital firms in the United States, Canada, and United Kingdom to create a combined VC / PE universe.

Dataset Features:
- Key statistics: Obtain summary statistics including estimated active funds under management, active portfolio companies, and stages of interest.
- Active and exited portfolio companies: View details on companies held by the private equity or venture capital firm including investment date, percent holdings, industry, comments and entry deal information. When available, details of the acquisition deal including deal value and enterprise value to EBITDA, deal synopsis and more. Exited companies also include information on the exit deal.
- Funds under management: View the funds managed by each private equity or venture capital firm including details on fund open date, status, amount sought and amount raised. At a more detailed level, information is also available on each fund’s investment overview, known investors, percent raised, information source, investment types, sectors, industries and regions invested in and the fund structure describing the relationship between feeder and master funds within the private equity or venture capital firm.
