Charity Work

FactSet Manila's CSR Committee is very engaged within the local community. All FactSetters are encouraged to actively participate in community services by helping the less fortunate, including victims of natural disasters.

Habitat for Humanity

FactSet Manila’s CSR Committee on Social Awareness organized a volunteer program last June to help Habitat for Humanity in its project in Pasig City. This is part of Habitat for Humanity’s Urban Renewal and Development program to provide housing to informal settlers in various slums and other danger zones in Pasig.

Help a School Program

FactSet Philippines Inc. donated school supplies and reference books to the 1,650 grade school students of Maharlika Elementary School. We also provide tutorial services for the students at Maharlika Elementary, led by FactSet employees. Subjects are on basic reading and math.

Tondo Outreach

FactSet employees have created a program for approximately 500 children in Tondo. Families in the area live in an abandoned building which used to be the storage of garbage coming from all over Manila. FactSet employees  teach the children about things they don’t usually learn in school – from Nutrition to Proper Grooming to the value of Exercise. FactSet employees come up with skits, dance numbers, games, and exercises to teach children about good moral character and health issues. FactSet also sponsors an food program in the area.

Holiday Party

Annually, FactSet Philippines organizes a holiday party for its growing number of employees.  Each year, the party follows a theme. For 2010, FacSet employees strutted their stuff with a Fashion Week-inspired Holiday Party. For 2011, FactSet goes Mafia, circa 1920s!

Halloween

FactSet comes up with a bang in tradition of Halloween. This year, each department designed their stations with a particular theme and employees were dressed to follow it. Some departments made use of this cool event to get donations and support some of FactSet’s CSR work.

Monthly Merienda

Every month, FactSet Philippines welcomes our new employee hires and celebrates our employees’ birthdays. Afternoons snacks and desserts are served for all employees and birthday celebrants’ photos are flashed on the office LCD monitors.
