Engineering Internships

FactSet interns aren't hidden in copy rooms or saddled with outdated equipment. They work alongside our full-time engineers to develop new technologies, brainstorm solutions, and contribute to a project team.

FactSet's UK Engineering teams work on a wide variety of platforms (Windows, Linux, Unix and VMS) and in a number of core languages (C++, Java, Perl, JavaScript and C#) and thus we look to recruit not just programmers but “true” Software Engineers.  Our interns are assigned to individual projects that allow them to make a significant contribution within talented, highly supportive teams, whilst developing new skills in a Software Development environment.

As a Software Engineer intern, you will be working on critical production systems, ensuring FactSet’s financial information products are always available, fast, reliable and scalable; continually searching for improvements, solving complex issues and working on new innovative products and services.

An internship at FactSet is a unique opportunity to gain a breadth of knowledge and experience within the financial industry. FactSet is a growing company where hard work and achievement are acknowledged and rewarded. If you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference while learning new skills, find your internship at FactSet, one of the “UK’s 50 Best Workplaces” in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

FactSet internships are open to Penultimate Year students only (second year of a BSc or third year of MEng) with strong programming and communication skills. We're also interested in candidates with experience in C++, Unix, Perl, .NET, GUI environments, and database technologies.

To apply for an internship, please send a CV and formal cover letter to ukinternships@factset.com

FactSet does not accept unsolicited resumes not linked to specific job openings. FactSet will keep your resume confidential and use it only for employment purposes. FactSet may provide your resume to third-party employment services that assist FactSet with recruiting.

Engineering interns at FactSet get to choose their own projects from a list of presented ideas. This ensures that while interns are learning about the FactSet product, they are also working on something that interests them.
